More Than a Mile ("we," "us") produces community running events, including The Third Ward Mile. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
Information you give us: your name, email, phone and any details you send through our website forms, event registration, volunteer and vendor applications, or email.
Event registration: registration and payments are processed by our registration partner. We receive your participant details. We never receive full card numbers.
Website usage: basic analytics and cookies that help us understand site traffic.
How we use it
To run our events: registration, communication, safety, results and race-day logistics.
To reply to inquiries and manage partner, sponsor, vendor and volunteer relationships.
To send event updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Our internal tools and Google data
Our team uses internal tools connected to our own Google Workspace and Gmail accounts. These tools organize our inbox, summarize messages and prepare drafts for our team to review. They are used only by our team, on our own accounts.
Google user data is used only to provide these features to the account owner.
We do not sell, rent or share Google user data. We do not use it for advertising or to train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run our events (registration, payments, timing, email), with event partners where needed to deliver the event, or when required by law. We do not sell personal information.
Youth participants
Youth race registrations are completed by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13.
Security and retention
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information and keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above.
